Come On In
Welcome to my blog. My name is Dean and I will be your host. That’s me in the picture up there. It’s what I do when I need to get a grip on things.
I thought I would begin by giving you a brief, but concise autobiography about my blog. The year is 2017, some 50 years since I joined the ranks of the world walkers and for some god forsaken reason I have decided to start a blog about, well, I really don’t know what it’s going to be about. Only time and imagination will dictate that. My best guess on how this blog will unfold is that I was looking for a place to share some insight, interesting (or not) facts about life and and general conversation about getting a grip on things so as to help myself and others deal with the day to day goings on in our lives. I think that we could all use a little bit of help getting a grip on our lives from time to time. Sometimes we have the solutions and sometimes we need a solution. No one is immune from the day to day trappings of life. Some of us may seek an opinion to help us with a problem or get advice to help us make a decision on an issue. Some of us have been there and done that and want to share our experience to help someone else. Share an uplifting story to show people how great life can be, or stand behind someone with compassionate words when life is difficult and they need a kind word to help them along. Really, just day to day stuff.
I guess my hope is that this blog will be able to support, inspire or just give people a place to go so they can get a grip on whatever it is they need in their life at that particular moment, and maybe I can learn a thing or two about life outside of my own daily dealings. Maybe, just a place to see that we are in it together. You and I may be different, but life often deals the same cards to all of us at some point in our lives. Remember, there are only 52 cards in a deck and billions of people in the world, so my best guess is that somewhere out there someone else may be experiencing the same things as you and they might just share their experience to help someone else get a grip man.
Oh, don’t forget to laugh at life as well. Always look on the bright side of life!
